The Rotary Club of Marblehead was chartered in April, 1933, and held its first meeting on May 11, 1933. The first President of our club was Charles A. Slee, and his company still bears his name to this day.

The Club holds its meetings 11 months out of the year at the Boston Yacht Club and enjoys a spectacular view of Marblehead Harbor. During the month of January, our meetings shift to alternative locations - most recently to The Landing Restaurant - also on the Harbor. We meet on Thursdays at 12:15, although many members start arriving earlier to enjoy the comraderie and friendship of their fellow Rotarians.

Scholarships are a primary focus for the Club - both in terms of academic scholarship as well as camperships that are awarded annually. Various other community activities insure the Club's service to our community.

If you are a Rotarian transferring into, or visiting, our community, we would welcome the opportunity to share our Club with you.
