Moritz, our youth exchange student from Germany, happily shared his exchange student life in the U.S. with his sponsoring club, the Marblehead Rotary. His presentation could be summed up to making friends overseas for life, learning English fast, and living a new culture!
With Rotary Youth Exchange program, we give the students access to people in several different professions; support the freedom to explore their interests and hobbies; introduce and immerse them in local tradition and language. Moreover, many of the host families will or have sons and daughters who will be and are on exchange; hence they understand how it feels to have a part of the family missing, and will do their best to make the students feel at home.
