ASSISTANCE FOR SUMMER CAMPS AVAILABLE

The Rotary Club of Marblehead is once again making funds available for Marblehead children who need financial help to attend summer camp. There are many children in town who would not be able to experience the friendships and fun of camps without the help that we give. Annually, the Marblehead Rotary Club raises funds through its early summer lobster raffle and dedicates a portion of the proceeds to camperships.

Over the past 20 years, the Marblehead Rotary Club has awarded $200,509 in 443 camperships to over 350 different kids. Our goal is to be able to help kids attend the camp of their choice—one that will help them grow while having fun. Some of the most popular camps have been local including the playground camp run by the Marblehead Park, Recreation and Forestry Department, the Y’s Children’s Island and Camp Rotary. A typical campership is around $500, which often will pay for two weeks of camp.

Only one application is needed per household. The deadline for applications is May 17, 2019.
