Join Us
Rotary is 1.2 million passionate individuals in 35,000+ clubs worldwide. We are both an international organization and a local community leader. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

The members of the Marblehead Rotary Club  meet every Thursday at 12:15 PM for a lunch meeting at the Boston Yacht Club (or alternatingly on Tuesday evening at 6 PM and Thursday at 12:15 PM on Zoom during the pandemic). We typically have two speakers each month that present interesting topics to us. And we use our meetings to plan fund-raisers, get involved in global Rotary projects, hear from our youth-exchange students, or discuss important issues facing our community. Here are some of the projects and areas of focus of the Marblehead Rotary Club:

Local Projects

  • College Scholarships
  • Performing Arts Scholarships
  • Camperships
  • Traffic Island Maintenance
  • Blood Donation Drive
  • Marblehead’s Got Talent
  • Lobster Raffle

International Projects

  • Polar Plunge For Polio Eradication
  • Hosting International Youth-Exchange Students
  • Sending Marblehead High School Students On International Youth-Exchange Year
  • Peace Building With Irish Teens
  • Burkina Faso Water, Sanitation, And Hygiene (WASH) project

We actively seek to reflect the community that we serve, and so individuals of all genders, race, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, veteran status, and educational background are strongly encouraged to inquire.

If you would like to join us, we offer three types of memberships:

  1. Regular membership
    • Attend a minimum of 60% of our weekly meetings
    • Participate in our service projects as your time permits
  2. Corporate membership
    • Intended for multiple members from the same company (up to 4 members total)
    • Primary members are typically the principals of the company (max of 2 primary members)
    • Associate members can come to Rotary meetings to help the primary members fulfill the 60% attendance requirement
  3. Service membership
    • Targeted at busy young professionals and volunteers who cannot make the time to commit to attend 60% of our meetings
    • Instead they commit to attend one meeting per month and will also complete 24 volunteer hours per year
Our annual dues for all members are $150 plus an optional $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation, which funds international programs.

You can also download our Membership Brochure.

Then join us for one of our lunch meetings as our guest by contacting any of the members listed on our home page under Club Executives and Directors on the right side-bar, whom you might know, or by simply emailing our president, Arthur Schwartz. We'd really love to host you as a guest for one of our lunch meetings.

If you like what you see, and would like to become a member, we will then provide you with a membership application form. And we will guide you along the path in the following Rookie Rotarian Roadmap to learn more about our organization and get involved in one of our committees or service projects.
