Philip Wilson (right), a Rotarian and polio survivor, visited our club for the second time to continue advancing Rotary’s longstanding effort to eradicate polio. Speaking from lived experience, he offered a compelling reminder of the devastating impact of the disease and the critical interventions and support that enabled him to rebuild his life. His message reinforced the importance of sustaining our commitment to this global initiative. As Rotarians, his story calls us to remain informed, engaged, and steadfast in carrying forward the mission that has defined Rotary’s work for decades—until the job is truly finished. With him from left, Aviv Hod, Rotary president; Linda Sullivan, Marblehead Rotarian and the Polio Plus coordinator for the district; and seated is Carlos Robledo, Beverly Rotary Club, who is part of the team working alongside Philip to continue educating our members about polio and Rotary’s eradication efforts.Philip Wilson Polio Survivor
